CASRO Announces Election of Board Officers, New Board Members

Port Jefferson, NY –The Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO) is pleased to announce the election of its Board officers for 2010 and welcomes three new Board members.

Elected as Chair-elect is Susan McDonald, CEO of National Analysts Worldwide, who has served on the Board since 2005. McDonald will assume the role of Chair in 2011 following the tenure of 2010 Chair Kevin Menk, Managing Partner, Strategic Resource Partners, L.L.C. Robin B. Arnold, CEO of The Gilmore Research Group, was re-elected as Treasurer and Roseanne Luth, CEO of Luth Research, was elected to continue her role as Secretary.

McDonald is a specialist in the application of forecasting techniques to healthcare markets, having supported the launch of many pharmaceutical products and medical technologies in a wide range of therapeutic areas.  Other categories in which she has extensive experience include OTC pharmaceuticals, food and beverage products, and mass media. She previously served as Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton.

The three new Board members elected are Rahul Sahgal, Chief Executive Officer of Annik Technology Services; Jude Olinger, founder and CEO of New Orleans-based The Olinger Group; and Jeffrey Resnick, President, U.S. Group at Opinion Research Corporation. The terms of Sahgal and Olinger run through 2012. Resnick will serve through 2011 to complete McDonald’s term.

Sahgal spent many years in the U.S. working with some of the global leaders in market research, including NFO (now part of TNS). He started Annik, an international provider of market research and data analytics support services, after returning to India in 2000.

Olinger shared with attendees of CASRO’s 2007 Data Collection Conference his hard-earned expertise in disaster recovery and crisis management, having managed his business through the loss of its offices from Hurricane Katrina. His company has resumed its growth and works with clients in a variety of industries, offering them a complete array of design, analysis, and methodological tools.

During his 25-year career at ORC, Resnick has held numerous leadership positions and is responsible for the development of the CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll. He recently served as co-chair of the 2009 CASRO Annual Conference.
