CASRO Announces Nominees for 2010 Board of Directors

Port Jefferson, NY – The Nominating Committee of the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO) has announced the slate of nominees for the 2010 CASRO Board of Directors.  The Nominating Committee is charged with selecting candidates who have shown personal leadership, commitment, and involvement in CASRO and the research industry.  Further, to ensure that the Board is representative of the diversity of CASRO’s membership, consideration is given to the research expertise of the individual, as well as the company’s specializations and services, its size, and its headquarters location. 
 
The nominees to fill the Class 1, 2, and 3 Board positions (3-year terms beginning on January 1, 2010); and the Treasurer’s Class 6 position (1-year term beginning January 1, 2010) are:
 
Class 1, smaller-sized businesses
              Jude Olinger, CEO
              The Olinger Group, New Orleans, LA             

Class 2, larger-sized businesses:
              Michael Brereton, President
              Maritz Market Research, Fenton, MO
               
Class 3, no restrictions on size:
              Rahul Sahgal, President & CEO
              Annik Technology Services, Gurgaon, India
 
Class 6 (Treasurer):
              Robin Arnold, President & CEO
              The Gilmore Research Group, Seattle, WA 

Board members who will complete their Board terms at the end of 2009 are Becky Quarles (CEO, QSA Integrated Research Solutions), Karyn Schoenbart (President & COO, The NPD Group), and Susan Spaulding (Partner, The PERT Group).  In addition, Eileen Campbell (CEO, Millward Brown) will complete her term on the Board as a Past Chair of CASRO.  All of these industry leaders have volunteered their time and guidance to CASRO and our members during their many years on the Board, including chairing many key committees and task forces.  We offer our sincere thanks to them for their dedicated service.
 
Additional nominees for the Board may be made by petition signed by at least five CASRO members in good standing and submitted to the CASRO office by Monday, September 21, 2009. Nominated candidates for the Board must be willing and able to commit the time to attend CASRO Board Meetings (four times a year), and to chair or co-chair a CASRO committee, task force, or special initiative. 
 
The CASRO membership will vote at the Annual Business Meeting on Wednesday, October 14th, at the association’s 34th Annual Conference at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.
