What Qualifications/Education Do I Need?
Typically a bachelor’s degree is the starting point for most market and survey research jobs. A master’s degree and/or a Ph.D. may be required, especially for more analytical positions. A higher degree increases the opportunity for advancement to more responsible positions.
Tip: Because of the importance of quantitative skills to survey researchers, courses in mathematics, statistics, sampling theory and survey design, and computer science are extremely helpful.
