CASRO Announces 2011 Board Nominations

CASRO Board Nominations for 2011

The CASRO Nominating Committee has put together the slate of nominees for CASRO’s Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee is charged under the Bylaws with selecting candidates who have shown personal leadership, commitment, and involvement in CASRO and the research industry. Further, to ensure that the Board is representative of the diversity of CASRO’s membership, we consider the research expertise of the individual, as well as the company’s specializations and services, its size, and its headquarters location.

The nominees to fill the Class 1, 2, and 3 Board positions (3-year terms beginning on January 1, 2011); and the Treasurer’s Class 6 position (1-year term beginning January 1, 2011) are:

Class 1, smaller-sized businesses:
Daniel Coates, President
Youth Pulse, Inc., New York, NY

Class 2, larger-sized businesses:
Lynette Cooke, CEO
KantarHealth, New York, NY

Class 3, no restrictions on size:
Jeffrey P. Miller, President
Burke, Inc., Cincinnati, OH

Class 6 (Treasurer):
Robin Arnold, President & CEO
The Gilmore Research Group, Seattle, WA

Frank Brown (President, MarketSearch Corporation) will be completing his second three-year term as a Board member at the end of 2010. In addition, Chet Zalesky (President, CMI) will complete his term on the Board as a Past Chair of CASRO. Frank and Chet have volunteered their time and guidance to CASRO and our members during their many years on the Board, including chairing many key committees and task forces. We offer our sincere thanks to them for their dedicated service.

Additional nominees for the Board may be made by petition signed by at least five CASRO members in good standing and submitted to the CASRO office by Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Nominated candidates for the Board must be willing and able to commit the time to attend CASRO Board Meetings (four times a year), and to chair or co-chair a CASRO committee, task force, or special initiative. Please contact CASRO’s President, Diane Bowers, for more information about the nominations process.

We will vote on the Slate of Board Nominations at the Annual Business Meeting on Wednesday, October 13th, at our 35th Annual Conference at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in North San Diego, CA. We hope to see you there.
