What is CASRO?
CASRO represents the voice and values of research. CASRO is a not for profit association whose members are research businesses from the US and abroad. CASRO representatives are executive leaders and decision makers from these prestigious companies. Since 1975, CASRO’s mission has been to advance the business of research while preserving its integrity through ethical and professional standards governing our interactions with respondents and clients. To accomplish these goals, CASRO keeps its member companies informed about the critical challenges and emerging trends that affect the research industry and is proactive in addressing issues that may negatively impact the overall health of the research industry. Since its inception, CASRO has been a diligent guardian of personal privacy, and its advocacy initiatives over the last several decades have earned a high level of respect among public policy-makers and legislators. The CASRO Code of Standards, mandatory and enforceable for all CASRO members, is a tough, internationally –cited set of industry standards, acknowledged by research companies, client organizations and other associations to be the ethical reference point for the industry. The CASRO Code sets forth the rules of ethical conduct for research organizations in their relations with individuals who provide data or participate in surveys, with clients and other businesses, and with the public in general. Further, the Code affirms legal and self-regulatory accountability that safeguards the rights of the public, research clients, and research businesses. What does it mean to be a CASRO member company?
