CASRO Welcomes New Executive Vice President
Association Veteran Will Focus On Enhancement of Membership Services

Port Jefferson, NY – The CASRO Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Therese Sheehy will join the CASRO headquarters as Executive Vice President. In this position, Therese will focus on strategic planning, membership development and expansion, government and public affairs, as well as enhancing and developing association programs and services. 

“Therese combines extensive experience in association, membership, and Board management with a broad knowledge of public and governmental affairs,” commented Diane K. Bowers, President of CASRO. “The appointment of Therese marks the continued expansion of our management team, which has grown to reflect CASRO's broader range of activities in a number of areas including industry standards, education, and government affairs.  Therese will enable CASRO to continue broadening its reach and enhance delivery of all key membership services.”

In recent years Therese has served as a public affairs and association management consultant, addressing such issues as membership growth and services; public, media and government relations; event and expo planning; and finances and fundraising.  She has worked as an association director in the health care and insurance industries, as well as holding public affairs positions in city and state agencies, courts, and legislatures.

In addition to her work experience, Therese brings to CASRO a strong background in writing and public speaking, She has served as an editor of legislative publications and as a lobbyist for the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce.  Therese has an undergraduate degree in literature and communications and a Master of Public Administration degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Stuart School of Business Administration.
