Annual Conference

Mission Statement: To plan, organize and conduct the Annual Conference as mandated by the CASRO Bylaws, so as to offer the membership the opportunity to discuss the business of the association, to learn from their peers and from invited speakers, and to meet each other in a relaxed and non-competitive environment.

Mission Statement: To develop programs, enlist speakers, and determine schedules for the conferences, workshops, and CASRO Forums for members and, if appropriate, the industry. Mission Statement: To coordinate the annual financial and compensation surveys of CASRO member companies with the outside independent firm who collects and reports the data. To review and update the survey questionnaires and reports in response to changing membership needs.  To utilize emerging technology to reduce costs and improve survey usability and increase member participation wherever possible. To analyze the data from the survey and to report the results in written/electronic form to CASRO members who participate in the survey and to present a summary of results to the membership at the Annual Conference.

Global Development

Government and Public Affairs

Mission Statement: To ensure that there is adequate and appropriate monitoring, lobbying and oversight on federal and state legislation and issues that could affect marketing and public opinion research. Separately, to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding any government activities that could affect the conduct of survey research business from an economic standpoint. To encourage the development and enhancement of the CASRO Privacy Protection Program in order to meet the compliance and implementation needs of all CASRO member segments.

Marketing and Communications

Mission Statement: To promote the commercial survey research business as a professional and ethical industry through public relations efforts including responding to industry criticisms. As appropriate, conduct surveys on topics of interest to promote CASRO. Oversight of CASRO communication tools, including brochures and website.

To determine if membership needs are being met and to recommend measures or services that will better meet the changing needs of members.

Mission Statement: Formed in an effort to help attract sharp, young minds to the field of market research, the Research Career Development Committee works on behalf of the entire industry by increasing awareness and interest in market research career paths among students, career counselors, faculty, and academic leaders across the country. Among the outreach vehicles utilized are print materials, school visits, and an educational website and online Job Board.

Mission Statement: As mandated by the Bylaws, to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding any member against whom a complaint is made for failing to comply with the requirements of these Bylaws, including the CASRO Code of Standards and Ethics for Survey Research. If so directed by the Board of Directors, the committee will also recommend any possible amendment to the CASRO Code of Standards and Ethics for Survey Research. This committee will also study, develop and update guidelines that address the issues of survey research quality and procedures and to work with other associations to implement such guidelines.
