CASRO Announces Winners of Annual Awards
MarketVision Research named as "Organization" of the Year;
OdinText Takes "Entrepreneur" Honors
At the CASRO Annual Conference Awards dinner this evening, winners were announced for the association’s "Research Organization of the Year" and "Entrepreneur of the Year" awards.
The CASRO Research Organization of the Year Award recognizes the company that "has demonstrated leadership, overall consistency, and excellence in the planning and execution of its research services." As one of only two companies in the AMA Gold Top 50 to achieve double-digit growth for the past three years, Cincinnati-based MarketVision Research earned this honor for 2015.
Also included in the 2015 Inc. 5000 recognizing the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S., MarketVision has expanded its online communities business, dedicated more resources to healthcare and pharmaceutical research, has grown its expertise in financial services, and has opened an office in Dubai to support clients working in the MENA region. MarketVision has shown its commitment to the industry at large through high-level involvement with CASRO, PMRG, MRA, and PBIRG, as well as in academia with the graduate marketing research programs at Michigan State University and University of Texas-Arlington. The company has shared its innovative work recently by co-presenting at industry events with such clients as Hershey, Novo Nordisk and UCB Pharma.
“We are honored to receive this award from CASRO, an organization that means a lot to us,” said Tyler McMullen, MarketVision’s President & CEO. “This recognition is a reflection of our team’s commitment to one another and their thoughtfulness in providing unique and meaningful solutions for our clients.”
Also honored was OdinText Inc., which was named Research Entrepreneur of the Year. The award recognizes the company that (a) has introduced a major, impactful new direction or service to its research business portfolio or (b) is new to the research industry, providing leading edge and innovative services that expand and extend traditional market, opinion, and social research into new directions. In addition to bragging rights, OdinText took home a $5,000 prize, underwritten by award sponsors Morpace and Annik Technology Services.
Founded in early 2015, OdinText Inc. is committed to solving the “Too much data, Too few data scientists” problem. The company’s powerful and intuitive cloud-based software helps users discover patterns and trends in complex text and numeric data. OdinText SaaS is a complete text analytics platform with the ability to handle large and complex data sets. Easy to use features include: hypothesis testing, predictive analytics, advanced visualizations, tables, aggregate and raw data export. Longitudinal data and foreign language data are supported. OdinText is based on 10 years of experiential knowledge and testing by founder Tom Anderson. Initial beta and use cases included customer 800# calls, emails, large (and small) scale survey data, discussion board comments and ratings, as well as hybrid combinations. Additionally in mid-2015, Coca-Cola became the first firm to use OdinText for social media monitoring, calling it “Smarter Text Analytics”. Unlike their previous digital listening tools, OdinText naturally leads analysts to discover more meaningful relationships and models within available data.
Anderson commented, “OdinText’s Next Generation Text Analytics software platform is built on sound research methodology by Researchers for Researchers. That’s also why I’m especially honored to be receiving this award here at CASRO, an association which has a long history advocating the importance of research best practices.
CASRO acknowledges the excellent work done by all of the companies nominated for these two awards and thanks the distinguished panel of research industry leaders who reviewed the submissions and selected the winners.
