Call For Papers Announced For CASRO 14th Annual Technology Conference
Port Jefferson, NY – Seeking cost efficiencies, market research companies of all sizes are turning a hopeful eye to new technologies. With this week's Call for Papers, The Council of American Survey Research Organizations (CASRO) is once again challenging the industry's thought leaders to submit presentation proposals that address key technology issues. Those chosen by a Selection Committee comprised of industry experts will be presented at the 14th Annual CASRO Technology Conference, May 28 and 29, 2009 at the historic Hudson Theatre in the Millennium Broadway Hotel, New York City. Papers are sought on the following topics: The Current Economic Reality: How can we use technology to do more with less? What impact is the economy having on IT outsourcing? Social Media: How are companies using technology to integrate research activities into social networks? What technical approaches are being used to measure the “wisdom of crowds” and “word of mouth?” Technology Trends: What are the strategic and tactical impacts on IT of the introduction of “The Millennials” into the workforce? Can cloud computing be successfully applied to research? Is What is Old New Again?: How are “old” technologies like IVR and CATI finding renewed application and value in today's research and economic environment? Advanced Data Analysis: What are the challenges associated with linking attitudinal, behavioral, and financial data? What kinds of market simulator technologies are currently being created? Which technologies are being used to create advanced web deliverables? Quality: What technology has the biggest effect on quality initiatives? What are some of the impacts of technologies being applied to quality efforts? Marketplace Trends: How is consumer-driven technology impacting research organizations? Are issues like “Net Neutrality” a concern? Other technology issues not included in the above topic areas will also be considered. |
