EVENT RECAP
An intriguing agenda drew more than 200 attendees to the famed Hudson Theatre.
The 15th edition of the CASRO Technology Conference was marked by record attendance and spirited discussion on the latest technologies impacting the research industry. Dan Coates, President of Globalpark USA, set the stage by outlining the state of the market - one in which researchers are seeking to be where their audience is - exploring new mobile applications, delving deeper into proprietary panels and scraping the internet for consumer sentiment. New research on consumer attitudes towards social media research by Jeffrey Henning, Founder & Vice President of Strategy at Vovici Corporation, got researchers thinking about the possible ramifications of their work. The audience was introduced to "research bots" by David Bausola, Founder of Philter Phactory and Will Goodhand, Juicy Evangelist at BrainJuicer Inc., who described the technology that gathers and makes sense of unprompted conversations and dialogue online.
Bernie Malinoff, element54
Bernie Malinoff, President of element54, noted the potential downsides of rich media question formats borne out in the results of his research in "Sexy Questions, Dangerous Results?"
